RESIDENTIAL mold inspections

Mold growth in buildings can lead to a variety of health problems. Various practices can be followed to mitigate mold issues in buildings, the most important of which is to reduce moisture levels that can facilitate mold growth.  Removal of affected materials after the source of moisture has been reduced and/or eliminated may be necessary for remediation. Our inspection is thorough and complete, using our Thermal Imaging Equipment to detect any moisture intrusion or problem areas that are unseen by simple viewing.

RESIDENTIAL HOME INSPECTIONS

A Home Inspection is a limited, non-invasive examination of the condition of a home, often in connection with the sale of that home.  Home Inspections are conducted by a Home Inspector who is trained and certified, to perform such inspections.  The Inspector prepares and delivers to the client a written report of findings.  The client then uses the knowledge aimed to make informed decisions about their pending real estate purchase.

The Home Inspector describes the condition of the home at the time of inspection but does not guarantee future condition, efficiency, or life expectancy of systems or components.

THERMAL IMAGING

Thermal Imaging is where the photographs or videos are made up of heat signatures rather than light.  This means that you can see things that would otherwise be hidden and/or invisible.  We use Thermal Imaging to help us find out where heat is escaping from a building and also where there may be moisture intrusion. The Thermal Imaging picture will show you exactly which areas of the building need to be improved.

air quality testing

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is a term which refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. IAQ can be affected by gases (including carbon monoxide, radon, (volatile organic compounds), particulates, microbial contaminants (mold, bacteria) or any mass or energy stressor that can induce adverse health conditions.  Determination of IAQ involves the collection of air samples, monitoring human exposure to pollutants, collection of samples on building surfaces and computer modelling of air flow inside buildings.
